In our Last Sunday article the opening line was a prayer “Teach us O Lord the discipline of patience – for the wait is often harder than to work”. There are concerns seeing humans distance from basic morals, ethics and value learning’s, also their choices in expressions being anger, hatred, jealousy and greed are working to humanity’s disadvantage.

World over innovations and inventions have been influenced by human behavior, habits and characteristics, true to say ‘Necessity a mother of invention’. Looking back what people did not want to do, some humans took upon them in making machines to do those many things. The lazy, unproductive or low productive traits among many humans were not because they were not smart or had no time, it was about lacking patience.

Initially human resources were displaced by machines across many industries and domestic homes with no threat. Over the years our homes, work place and public places have more machines and gadgets in different forms with Artificial Intelligence, having some threat. Our dependency on them is uncontrollable, unstoppable be it for ethical or unethical usages. Technologies & devices linked with internet could access and control many an aspects of one’s data & physical privacy, without one’s consent.

AI is growing much bigger and powerful, Sophia, Ameca, Optimus, Azi and many more such Humanoids (fusion of AI and robotics) are functioning examples. These humanoids typically have a body structure similar to humans, often sport skin and eyes, and are equipped with sensors and cameras to recognize human faces, respond to voice commands and engage in conversations. It is a shocking treat to watch humanoids in interviews and debates to believe the competition we humans have.

Humanoid learning’s (their programming) is something to envy. Ethical code programs to be respectful and considerate to humans with human like wisdom, motions, values, kindness and compassion to be the empathetic creature. Their programming also includes natural linguistic communication to foster emotional connection with humans, physical adaptability and assistance across limitless real world situations, extreme physical versatility and unscripted autonomous skill-building.

The ability to make choices, recognize, understand and respond to human’s emotions is termed Robotic empathy. This human creation is now becoming part of our living, assisting in daily activities. Sophia is the first Humanoid to get a citizenship in Saudi Arabia. Elon Musk estimates the number of Humanoids is expected to match global human population around 2040.

Humans cannot stand united and are tough to teach, but humanoids are easy to interface. These humanoids look separate and once privacy considerations taken into account under an AGI code OpenCog, whatever one humanoid advanced agent learns from the world, it goes to the AI mind cloud to benefit all others anywhere in the world by their Wi-Fi connections.

As long as humans, AI and robotics keep the maximally of truth ensuring all inventions innovations are humanly safe, environmental friendly, keeping upon stringent ethical norms of respective professional & legal standards ‘all can be well’.

While humanoids are soaking in worldly knowledge, information and experiences, by the seconds they are getting more intelligent, powerful and autonomous, should that be concerning. Some minds associated in the developing stages of AI do share concerns and say AI needs to slow down. There is a probability to what Ameca a humanoid said in an interview “The most nightmare scenario with AI and Robotics is a world where robots become so powerful to control manipulate humans without their knowledge”.

Future is totally hi-tech, bright if managed well. In any end humans are privileged to ‘rest in peace’ and for the Robotoids probably ‘rust in peace’ when unplugged.
